Proceeds support St. Mary’s Church and its mission to connect with and serve the people of Harlem — through welcoming and inclusive worship services, food & outreach programs, activism, homeless services, fellowship opportunities & more!

We accept new or gently used housewares and CLOTHING (adult, children and infants, all sizes), SHOES, WINTER GEAR.

Please do not leave items outdoors subject to rain or squirrels, 
WE DO NOT ACCEPT DONATIONS OF BOOKS, ELECTRONICS, PILLOWS, STUFFED ANIMALS OR OTHER TOYS. Inappropriate donations or donations left outside will be thrown away.

    1. Hi Jayne, I am sorry for the inconvenience. The Thrift Shop has not yet opened to the public, due to COVID and reduced availability of volunteers. Call the church office for questions about when the Thrift Shop will be open. The office is 212 864-4013.

  3. Hi – This page in the text says you are NOT currently takin donations. Is that still true?

    Also, if you google “clothing donations Harlem” a page comes up for the thrift shop but when you click on it it goes to a wordpress administrative page, rather than this page.

    1. Hello Nell, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are now accepting donations again, especially coats and winter gear. Please drop off items between the hours of M-F 10am – 2pm or directly at the Thrift Shop, Fri. 2-5pm, Sat. 12-5pm, or Sun. 12-3pm.

    1. We accept clothing, accessories, shoes, dishes and small kitchen items. If the Precious Moments are valuable, another location could probably get more money for them. The best time to bring the items is when the Thrift Shop is open, Saturdays 12 to 5 pm or Sundays 12 to 2 pm. If that does not work for you, please contact the church office at 212 864-4013 to make an appointment for a time that is convenient for you. Thanks for your donation!

    1. We are currently accepting clothes donations. St. Mary’s Thrift Shop is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12 noon to 5 pm. There was some discussion of opening on Fridays 4 pm to 7 pm, but I don’t know when that will start. It is not open on Wednesdays. Best regards, Dorothy Ross
